How is content produced?
Guidelines, regulators and veterinary literature take priority over manufacturers and general-interest sources. Important claims receive context, dates, limitations and links.
Why does Futterklar exist?
Dog nutrition is crowded with marketing, anecdotes and myths. Futterklar makes robust orientation easier to find without pretending to diagnose a dog or formulate an individual diet.
Source hierarchy
Authority comes from traceability, not a confident tone.
The strength of the underlying evidence—and the potential consequence of getting it wrong—determines the standard we need.

Scope
Healthy adult dogs are separated from growth, disease, reproduction and homemade diets.
Evidence
Core claims, figures and risks are checked against the listed authority sources.
Safety limits
We test for foreseeable misuse and exclude remote diagnosis, treatment and individual dosing.
Date and correction
Source checks are dated and material factual changes are documented in the methodology.
AI supports the workflow; it is not an expert source.
AI can assist with topic structure, initial drafts and consistency checks. Technical claims still have to be checked against the visible source record. AI is not presented as a substitute for professional accountability.
